Victoria Adams, Marlana
Tuccillo, Jesi Cavanaugh, and Mary Uselmann combined to break a
pair of Alaska Swimming 13-14 girls relay records this past weekend
in Homer. The NLSC quartet set new marks in the 200
Medley and 200 Free relays for their age group.
On Saturday, in a time trial, the girls
swam the 200 Medley Relay. Their time of 1:52.63 broke the
previous record of 1:52.70 also made up of NLSC swimmers. The
old record was held by Dana Bye, Meredith Uldrich, Meghan
Cavanaugh, and Spencer Broste and was set in April of
2004.
On Sunday the Tuccillo,
Adams, Cavanaugh, and Uselmann swam the 200 Free
Relay. Their time
of 1:41.27 bettered the 2005 record of 1:41.60 held by NLSC
swimmers Genny Konicke, Hannah Iverson, Dana Bye, and Meghan
Cavanaugh.
